Steam Train at the Nevada State Railroad Museum, Carson City, NV

We are members of the museum, which is less than two miles from our little Mary St house. On special weekends we can hear the train whistle from The Fort in our backyard...

Twice around the big loop•••••••••••••••••• Then off into the siding to swap the engine from one end to the other. Keeps the wheel wear even, volunteers in denim and caps tell us. Old men playing with big old trains. They do a wonderufl job making this a terrific experience - right in our own backyard!
