FIELD TRIP with ECC class to Bowers Mansion and Forest Service Office there.
Besides the priceless hugs from Smokey Bear himself , Donnie learned "Stop, Drop & Roll"

BMX Racing:
Donnie has mastered his two wheeler with such ferver and proficiency that we have turned him loose in the BMX world. In the state of Nevada there are 3 BMX tracks, one of which is about five miles from our home in Carson City. We go as a family and cheer loudly. He did two practice days when it suggested that it was time to try a race. Following directions, being cooperative and going fast-fast-fast! And he digs it!
The group on race day was much larger than on practice days. Older boys eager to take the newest and current youngest under their wings. Some over zealous competitive parents, but for the most it is a pleasant environment. He comes home pooped! With eyes fixed on his trophy!

Once the first "moto" is out of the gate, D5 makes his own way to settle in at the
Gate to wait the start of his First Race in his moto.

Coming to the finish, proud and happy and raring to Go Again!

After three races he stands with Andrew (age 5) and their second and third place trophies.
Proud, happy, sweaty, stinky boys! :)
Then we go home to call mommy, daddy and brother Seth with his excited news. Then to slowly fade off into a deep nap.
Just another glorious day in the high desert of the Eastern Sierra. Come visit!
