Spontaneous Kid Fest • D5and Mary Ellen (Mo) were playing at the Big Park in Waxahachie, when Donnie was invited to join a birthday party in progress. Pinata, cake, kids and fun. Donnie turned down the cake in favor of the bow and arrow he was given by the birthday mom. A lovely gesture from total strangers.

Visit to Gramma Kitty's farm. Dickinson TX near Galveston
• Uncle Devon and the Donkey Ride • Gramma Kitty has a farm... e-i-e-i-o •
There was also an extended tractor ride including the always favorite DIGGING with Scoop.
Chickens, peacock, a brand new calf, and then BBQ with the whole clan, including Great Gramma Joyce!

Uncle Devon is completeing his degree in Child Psych and sees D5 as speech delayed but an otherwise HEALTHY 4 year old!
The hard work is paying off in spades! Still working on impulse control, but he's doing great!

Memaw and the fishing pole • Aunt Nancy has "the touch" • Fishing Pole has morphed into CRANE! and has been lifting and transporting all sorts of "heavy" objects. The backpack has returned to active status since the introduction of "Dora the Explorer".

A rainy Memorial Day weekend, and with PopPop on the road, we decide to make one more trip to the Scarborough RenFest and it was the BEST visit yet! We learned last time that all the mud will just suck your sandals right off your feet.

The Blue Lady nibbled on dragonflies, and pulled friendly butterflies from her hair.

A band of Merry Men cavorting after the parade. • Bubbles fill the air near the Nooblers, an indescribable odd clan of gnome types.

After the intial noisey dragon roar, things calmed and Donnie got into the show...

He WON the riddle contest and was rewarded with special time with Spritz and some neat prizes, which will be dismantled within a day or so. Photos will suffice to remind us both what a fun fun time we had!
Then we rode the elephant and started to slowly make our way to the gate for the inevitable Search for the Car. Another fun day. Time for naps for both of us...
